Last Saturday, Dennis invited me, Satkuru and Aaron for breakfast in a hideaway noodle stall in Bandar Manjalara. No problem for me finding the place because my house is about 2 mins drive. The noodle is actually inside a make shift shop using stainless steel roof opposite the factory and warehouses. So, one would have guess that the people working in the area there are the main customer.
Dennis told us that curry mee (RM 3.50) is the hottest selling item there. True enough, we reached at 10am there and curry mee was sold out -_____- So, all we left is the clear soup noodle. I chose pan mee for the noodle while Satkuru and the rest chose hor fun.
The pan mee (RM 3.30) comes with fried ikan bilis, shitake and potato leafs. Quite a simple condiments. It will be nice to have a bit of pork lard added on it though. The soup is quite al dente for a pan mee soup. One thing to mention is that the pan mee is very smooth, I pan mee was easily suck into my mouth lol. The pan mee is of course best eaten with the grind chili sauce.
Rating: 3.5/5
For those that ordered non pan mee noodle, the condiments are much richer. There's fishballs, sliced pork, vegetable and fishcake. I should have tell the lady boss to add more stuff in my pan mee kekeke.
The noodle are not enough to feed 4 of us, so we ordered a plate of chicken rice from the next stall. Instead of steamed or roasted chicken, we had fried chicken thigh. The fried chicken is very nice actually, very crispy outside and tender inside. The downside is that the it's covered with soya sauce which was a bit too salty. If you come to order fried chicken, you may wanna tell the boss to skip the soya sauce.
Rating: 3/5
The oil rice comes as a surprise for all of us because it is very fluffy and flavourful. Rich taste of ginger. I finished the whole plate of rice almost all by myself.
Rating: 4/5 for the rice
Too bad we didn't get to try the curry mee on that day. When something can sold out so fast, it can only mean one thing. It's very good. I'll surely come back again to taste the curry mee since it's quite near my house anyway. I'll come earlier of course, come before 9am to be safe. Tell me how's the curry mee if any of you have tasted it.
Nothing to do with the Restoran Cheong Kong, just happend that it got a big banner there.

It's quite easy to come to this area. If you're coming from LDP, after the Kepong toll make a U-turn at the end of the highway then turn left when there's a turning. At, the roundabout, go 12, all the way straight until you come to a cross road. Go straight again, you'll come to a road that split into two, one going up a flyover and another road on the left. Take the left route but do not turn left, go straight and you'll be under the flyover, make a U-turn here. Go straight, and turn left into the factory area and turn a quick left again where you'll see a few make shift shops on your left. Restoran Cheong Kong is the last one.
