Jumbo Seafood (珍宝), NSRCC Safra Resort, Singapore

After having a light meal in Qiji and getting my Friday Singapore GP pass, I followed my sister back to her place where we will have dinner together with Mark (bro-in-law), my mum, niece and nephew. Mark happened to have a SGD 50 cash voucher for Jumbo restaurant in NSRCC Safra Resort. Yes, this is the Jumbo from Hong Kong where the restaurant is floating on the sea. There are a lot of branches here in Singapore.

Ruth, my niece.

Drunken Herbal Prawn. Nice herbal soup with a dash of rice wine aroma. Prawn is ok only though.

Hoi Chit. Jelly fish cold dish.

Fried Mantou that was served way before our Black Pepper Crab.

This Pumpkin soup is quite nice. I like that mushroom is added into it.

Huge bamboo clam is my favourite of the dinner. Fresh and not overcook. The sauce used is just nice to bring out the taste and not overcome the natural taste for the bamboo clam.

Some stir-fried Choi Dam but it's called Baby Bok Choy here in Singapore.

Tong Po Pork Rib (东坡排骨). Instead of using the pork belly meat, pork rib is used in this dish withe the Tong Po sauce. A healthier alternative for those that can't have too much fat meat. The pork rib is very tender and well marinated. Recommended.

Homemade Spinach Tofu. First time seeing spinach used to make the tofu skin. The tofu is very nice, doesn't have the funny taste of the mass produced tofu. Different varieties of mushroom, is good.

By the time the Black Pepper Crab was served, the fried mantou only left 2 pieces lol. I found that the Black Pepper Crab is a bit too salty and the pepper is not aromatic enough. Give me Malaysian style crab anytime. Maybe I have to go to Geylang to try the real thing.

Disposable napkin will be provided when you ordered crab. It's a meat crab so there's no roe but it's a habit of me to hit the crab shell first.

Fried Noodle Mamak style. It's not too bad but I still like Pan Heong's version more.

Avocado Pudding for dessert. I tend to order item with avocado if I see it in the menu. The pudding is ok.

Some hits and misses there. You can come and have a try on the bamboo clam, the Tong Po Pork Rib and Homemade Spinach Tofu. These three dishes are my recommendation.

Noah, my nephew.

It doesn't matter where we're eating as long as it's with the family then any meal is a great meal.
