After dinner in New Century Village Eating House, my sister suggested to buy Ah Balling Peanut Soup for dessert in Blk 85 Bedok Food Center (the bak chor mee here also not bad, I tried it two years ago). At first I thought the name is quite funny because my niece keep saying. Ah Balling, Ah Balling and I don't have any idea what is it lol.
Turn out, Ah Balling is tang yuan 汤圆 (glutinous rice ball) cook in a peanut sweet soup with a lot of peanuts. You can opt for the fillings for the glutinous rice ball. You can choose from sesame, peanuts,
Damn. I've never tasted something like this before the peanut soup is very good and I like the soften peanut that I can still chew on, unlike the grind peanut soup. The rice ball is quite big, very smooth and quite chewy. Makes me crave for it now that I am writing this post. I should have go for another round before I come back to KL.

I later found out from the Internet that Ah Balling started since 1947 in a hawker stall in Chinatown. Now they have stalls in a few food center. There's a very detail description from Street Directory here.

On the side note. After tapaoing the Ah Balling, we passed by this bakery and were attracted by the aroma of cakes. The smell is too good to resists. So we bought variety of butter cakes. I chose Butter Walnut Cake, which my mum mistakenly eaten and left a bit for me the next morning -_-
I will say that the butter cakes here is very nice. One for SGD $1.20 and two for $ 2, not too bad right?
The cheese cake look tasty too, so we bought one box for SGD $4.80.
