My Nephew & My Niece

It's been only 2 months I haven't seen my niece Ruth and my nephew Noah. How they have grown, especially Noah. Their Kai Mah (Godmother) uploaded their recent photos in Facebook. So, I thought I'll do a bit of update in my blog to about them.

My Gift to FA & Boss Stewie

Coming 2nd August is one of my favourite blogger's 27th 28th birthday and coincidentally Nuffnang is currently running Nuffnang Gift Ideas contest. So, this is a chance to give her a birthday gift and not spend a dime if I win the contest lol.

So, I'll give a digital camera to Fire Angel.

Why would I give this to her? Well for one, I see that she might or might not have a digital camera because most of the pics of her in Face Book or her blog is from her friend's camera. Beside of using the camera to camwhore, FA could probably use it to take picture of car of the idiot driver that you see popping up occasionally on her blog, like this car, this car, this car, and this car.

Sorry FA because RealMart doesn't sell beer buffet so this is the next best thing I could think of.


Moving on, I will also want go give a gift for our very hardworking Boss Stewie for finding us Nuffnanger all the advertiser and give us a bit of side income.

As we all know that Banana Wenqi is now studying in Singapore. Tim will be busier than ever because Wenqi was kind of like his Personal Assistant that reminding him his schedule, confirming his appointment, taking notes on meeting and most important of all preparing cheques to be sent out to Nuffnanger whom had cash out.

Now that Wenqi is no longer working in Nuffnang, hence Nuffnang is hiring more people to do her job. Timothy will have to also prepare the cheques to be sent out to the Nuffnanger. So, to help easing his job, I will give Timothy a Vision Electronic Cheque Writer 600C. Now you can give out all the Moolah without problem, muahahaha. By the way, I still haven't receive my Moolah that I cash out a month ago. -_-

Ka Ka Bah Kut Teh, Kepong Baru

My parents used to bring me and my sister to Ka Ka Bah Kut Teh for dinner or supper when we were staying in Kepong Baru when I was not more than 12 year old. But after we shifted out from Kepong Baru, we seldom patron Ka Ka Bah Kut Teh anymore. It's been a few years then that I haven't eaten there when I started working.

Last month at about 1 am, working on the graveyard shift. My colleagues and I decided to drive to Kepong Baru and eat Ka Ka Bah Kut Teh for lunch (supper). It has now got it's own shop, the last I dine at Ka Ka, they're still operating in a zinc roof settings.

Ka Ka bah kut teh is what I think is more to KL style, which has a clearer soup base than the Klang version. Lettuce instead of fu chuk is used as the condiment. For those of you that like Klang style BKT will find this soup based a bit bland.

I ordered a pot of pork kidney

When I came to Ka Ka, I always order their pork kidney. The soup will taste a bit different from the normal meat BKT soup. This one will be filled with the taste of ginger which is to offset the unwanted smell of the kidney. My colleagues only tried a bit of this wonderful stuff, hence I finished almost 90% of it. Pork kidney is an aquired taste from what I see here.

Bread & Olives @ Lookout Point

I've been reading a few post about a place with fantastic view of KL night where you can have your meal. This is non other than Lookout Point. So, a group of us foodies decided to go there to have our meal and view.

We first group up near Leisure Mall, Taman Segar. There were 6 of us. 3 in each car. Me and KampungBoy did the driving. I am the leading car as Jason is the one that know how to go there with the help of an instruction printed from a blog. Oh, by the way Jason is from Ipoh, and me a KLian is so malu of not knowing the way lol. Following the intruction, we manage to make our way to Lookout Point from Taman Segar in about half an hour. It's actually not that far. Thanks to Jason that chose a shorter route that skipped the congestion in Pandan Perdana.

We've reached.

My advise is to go there before 8pm during weekend, if not you won't be able to find a place and have to park below.

Bread & Olives is a restaurant serving Western & Middle Eastern fare. We chose a table near the edge so that we can have a view. The lighting on our table is not bright enough to take good pics, so when each dish arrived, we'll move it to another table with bright ligthing to take the pic. It's so funny come to think of it. The waiter even advise us to eat while the food is hot. Nah, we're floggers, so some sacrifices is needed.

My half roast chicken. It's way better than Kenny Rogers. The meat is juicy and flavourful. The sauce is goes superbly well with the chicken. It comes with briyani rice which is also very tasty. Best ever roast chicken I had.

We all shared a pizza, which was cut into 6 slices. So, each of us get to eat a slice. I think is this Bur Al Arab pizza with minced lamb. The pizza is really good with it's thin crust and flavourful tops.

KampungBoyCityGal's lamb shank with briyani rice. I tasted a bit and it's not bad. Better than Chili's. It's the mayonaise purposely written "no" or I'm seeing things?

WMW ordered Lamb Shawarma and Jason ordered Chicken Shawarma. It's something like kebab wrap in pita bread. It tasted normal.

They have open kitchen concept. Below is the pizza oven I think.

There are two other restaurant in Lookout Point, Gasoline and another one serving Malay food, I forgot the name =p

After the dinner, we decided to go back to Cheras and have a drink. We drive around looking for a good cafe to go. In Taman Connaught we found this cafe but it was full house and asked us to go home hence the name in Chinese.

So, we ended up in Station One in Taman Mutiara. WMW and I drank beer to end the night. It just hard for me not to post this picture of CityGal. Hope she won't kill me in Liane's farewell dinner tomorrow.
