Why Maybank should give me tickets to Legoland

Now, really why Maybank should give me tickets to Legoland? Simple. I'm a loyal Maybank customer. I have a Maybank savings account and could be my one and only savings account. All the bank savings account I have or had are inactive. I pay my bills using Maybank2u Online Banking. I then went on to applied for the Maybank 2 Platinum Card, which gives me Maybankard 2 American Express® Card and Maybankard 2 MasterCard. I get 5% rebate on anything I spent during the weekeng using Maybankard 2 American Express® Card. Nice, right?

Moving on to some investment, I started buying gold by opening Maybank Gold Investment Account, which I can buy and sell conveniently using my Maybank2u Online banking facility. Seeing that the price of silver is still very low and currently there's a chance to win RM 10,000 worth of silver deposit, I opened a Maybank Silver Investment Account. Just a month ago, I started a Maybank Online Stocks trading account so that I can invest in public listed company without going through a remisier. The charges are quite low too if compared with the conventional stocks trading. Not only that, I also have an Endowment Plan with Maybank's subdiary Etiqa for my insurance need.

I am one very loyal customer here with so many product and services. So, if Maybank is giving out tickets to Legoland, I should be one of the recipient. Another reason is because I didn't get to play with Lego much when I was a child, just like Marcky, I was a Lego deprived child. I need to payback my Lego-less childhood by playing with all the Lego rides and attractions there. I'll also bring me back with some awesome Lego set to play with. Two or three Lego Technic sets will be nice. Of course, I'll use my Maybankard 2 American Express® Card to pay for it on a weekend so that I could get 5% rebate from Maybank ;)

Now, show me the tickets! Maybank.

H-Artistry 2012 @ KWC, Kuala Lumpur

Yes. I've been lazy with my blogging lately. This even happened like 3 weeks ago and now only I get my hands to type it out. I'm talking, er writing about H-Artistry that went off with a blast in Kenanga Warehouse City in Kuala Lumpur. I was one of the lucky ones that got VIP passes to yearly affair.

This time, one can download the H-Artistry app for iPhone or Android to check-in to the event. I saw the statistic posted on the projection was 70% male and 30% female. -_- Luckily, the reality is somewhat different. I met a lot of pretty ladies there.

As usual, Hennessy Mix, Apple, Berry, Ginger and Soda are free flow till 11pm. After that I have to use the coupon to get more drinks. Drink responsibly yo!

Although there are a lot of beautiful ladies there but sadly, they were all in a relationship. All below here got boyfriend lol.

Photo taken by her boyfriend. LOL.

Forgot whether is her boyfriend taken this photo for us. =P

Look at the crowds! H-Artistry is really one of the biggest event of the year.

Nadia Heng is one of the MC of the night.

Alas, some that don't have bf or I'm not sure got or not.

Mr. Nasty & Guru-guru took on the stage and spin some dance pieces for the crowd.

The crowd went wild when Eva Simons started off with her reowned dance anthem, "Take Over Control".

More camwhoring pics.

If you thinks this is the end, then you are wrong. This is just a warm up.

Found My Neck and Shoulder Pain Relief

When I told some new people that I met during an event that I am a blogger, most of them will thought that it is my full time job. Sad to say that I don't have that kind of luxury yet. My full time job is a database administrator (DBA), which means I'll have to sit in front of the PC for hours daily for 5 days a week. I have to use the keyboard and mouse for long hours, which means I'll be in a sitting position with my hands raised most of the time.

Working with a PC in long hours makes my neck and shoulder very stiff. Most of the time I was so into my work that I forgot to rest and stand up to move my body a bit to lessen the muscle stiffness. It doesn't help that my company doesn't provide state of the art ergonomic chair like a Herman Miller chair. Almost everyday after work I'll have neck and shoulder pain.

I couldn't afford to buy a massage chair and frequent visit to the spa for massage. I was asked to try out Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub. First and only product that is specially formulated to provide relief for neck and shoulder aches and tension. It comes in two variants. Regular and boost. Both variants are non-greasy; it's nice because I don't have the greasiness feeling on my skin.

From left: Boost and Regular

I tried out with the Tiger Balm Neck and Shoulder Rub Boost. Once I rub a bit of it on my shoulder, I could feel a cool soothing sensation that felt like someone was massaging my shoulder. No wonder their tagline is Power Massage-on-the-go.

The Tiger Balm Neck and Shoulder Rub Regular comes with a soothing lavender fragrance
that provides lasting pain relief for neck and shoulder aches. If your neck and shoulder is not too stiff and just wants to relax a bit then a regular is quite enough. For me, Boost is the pain relief rub I needed.

Of course, Tiger Balm Neck and Shoulder Rub is not a miracle product, it won't help much if we kept stressing our neck and shoulder to the max. What we need is to not work with a PC for too long. Stand up and walk around and do some stretches after an hour or two working. Do some simple next and shoulder exercise, and top it all off with Tiger Balm Neck and Shoulder Rub for quick relief.

Worried that it's not safe? Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub is approved by Ministry Of Health and is a trusted solution for neck and shoulder aches for successful professionals in major cities across the globe i.e. Singapore, Hong Kong, USA and etc. It's a trusted and renowned brand that I know since I was a child. It's available only in leading pharmacies and Aeon Wellness stores.

Now, I wondered if they have something for my back too.

Menya Musashi (麺屋武蔵), 1 Utama

I've been reading rave review about the ramen in Menya Musashi, 1 Utama. It's quite new and it's inside the 2nd floor of Isetan, 1 Utama. This floor houses many other Japanese eateries from sushi, ramen, Japanese cuisine, Korean BBQ and also Puran Bi (Plan B).

I came here around 5.30 p.m. which is a bit early for dinner because I don't want to have to queue up when this place is usually packed during dinner hours. I chose to set by the open kitchen where I can see the action going on while the staffs were dishing out the ramen. It was quite fun watching them work.

Musashi is actually the name of a legendary swordsman in Japan during the Shogun era. He was very skilled in kendo and almost no one has defeated him before. So, to put his name in the menya (noodle house), it must mean that the ramen here is unbeatable.

I ordered the Kuro Musashi Ramen, one of the 3 unique soup base from Menya Musashi. For this black soup base, it is consist of black-fried shallots with garlic. The other two are Shiroi Musashi and Akai Musashi. They gave a very generous amount of chashu (braised pork belly) that is very balance in term of the meat and fat ratio. Yums. Of course, nowadays every ramen shop will have the marinated soft-boiled egg, which is cooked to perfection. As expected, the soup here is not very salty as in Santouka, which is a Hokkaido style ramen. The noodle is very springy. I will say, their ramen got my approval as one of the best in Klang Valley.

As always when I eats at a ramen shop, I'll order their gyoza to gauge their quality. This is like ordering fries in McDonald's to gauge the standard of their outlet. The gyoza was not too bad but also nothing to shout about.

I think one the secret why their noodle is so springy might be the way the rinse the noodle before they serve it. Watch the video below to see how it was done. =P

Forgive me for the picture quality because it was spur of the moment that I went here to eat, hence picture was taken with my Nokia E7, which has the worse phone camera I've every seen. =P

I happened to bumped into Ying Zi's post about Menya Musashi in Raffles City, Singapore. She took video of how they cook the noodle from inside the kitchen. Click here to find out more.

Arthur's Day is back with "A celebration Made of More"

About 2 weeks ago I was at the launching of Guinness Arthur's Day. This year's theme is "A celebration Made of More". The launching took place in Studio Lounge, Tropicana City Mall. I started off by pouring my own perfect pint of Guinness Draught.

Look mom, I poured my own Guinness.

What I love about launching event like this is I get to socialize with my blogger friends in real life instead of only doing it through social networking like Facebook or Twitter.

Dine with Annna

Mynn Lee

Naomi

The launch starts with emcee of the night, Serena C doing the opening and introduction.

Globally renowned Asian music superstar Justin Lo from Hong Kong, Nidji from Indonesia, our very own Malaysian Jazz & R&B superstar, Ning Baizura will take centre stage at this year’s celebrations. Sam Ayton, Acting Director of British Council, Malaysia & Yap Swee Leng, Marketing Director of GAB launched the Arthur Guinness Fund™.

And I continued to chamwore, I meant #takepicha.

Esther and Jessica at the back
Then it's time for the bands to perform. Start off with

Underheadlights.

Then comes Car Crash Hearts.

3rd in the list is a band named "Once Upon A Time There Was A Sausage Named Bob".

The lead singer of "Once Upon A Time There Was A Sausage Named Bob"

I only managed to stay after 3 out of the 6 bands performed. If you wants to see the other 3 bands, namely Rapcore band Rhythm Nation, SonaOne, and Busco. Then you can go to the venue on the specific date listed below. After each band performed, the Guinness ambassador will come over with an iPad and ask whether you wants to vote for the band. The more vote the band got, the higher chances they'll be selected to perform in Arthur's Day concert.
