It's party time again. I missed the last Hennessy Artistry happened back in May this year. This time I won't miss it.

This coming month, the month of July. There's another two more Hennessy Artistry events. Take your smartphone and key it in your calendar.

Happening in Penang on July 6 in Sixty9ine Mansion, Batu Ferringhi and in Kuala Lumpur on July 9 in Mist, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

This time the list of DJs and performers are:

German electro/house duo, the Beautiful Beat Girls. The group comprises of Meliah, the globetrotting vocalist of the duo who have performed at some of the best clubs in the world alongside some renowned DJs, and DJ/producer Dinakeen whose technical proficiency and ability in heating up any dancefloor has helped place the Beautiful Beat Girls as a dynamic performing duo. Making their debut on the Hennessy Artistry stage, this German electro/house outfit is ready to infect the dance floors of Sixty9ine Mansion and Mist Club come July

Our very own, Reshmonu. Multi-talented and award-winning Reshmonu forged a career in the Malaysian English music scene virtually single-handedly, going from humble beginnings as a sound engineer to becoming one of the most recognizable faces in the Malaysian English music industry over the past five years. Known for his talents in singing, writing, producing, arranging and engineering his own music, he has since established himself as the premier English Language market entertainer in Malaysia. Among some of his standout credentials include performances for Alicia Keys, Prodigy, Pussycat Dolls and Ryan Star of RockstarSupernova. Armed with his R&B prowess, Reshmonu will be looking to heat up the Hennessy Artistry party in Sixty9ine Mansion and Mist Club.

TRIMIX. For the duo (Droolotte Tasha and Samuel Dan), TRIMIX symbolises the mixture of three different compounds into one, resulting in an ecstatic result. With this in mind, their sets are designed to be unique, exquisite and truly phenomenal. TRIMIX’s wide-ranging sounds cover progressive, tech and trance and unleashes phenomenal energy through its beats. Set to bring a whole new experience in progressive trance, TRIMIX will be looking to conquer the dance floor at Hennessy Artistry through some of the most infectious and addictive tunes the country has ever heard.

Besides dancing to the music. Guests could also join in the fun with activities like:

1. Hennessy Mixing Bar – a bar where fans will be taught how to mix any of the four signature Hennessy V.S.O.P long drinks (Hennessy Citrus, Hennessy Berry, Hennessy Ginger, and Hennessy Apple). I miss those mixes.

2. Hennessy Music Mix Synth — where revellers will be given the chance to create their own tunes by selectively choosing to place 15 circular cubes on a react table (each cube represents a different music element, i.e: guitar, drums, etc) to allow them to experience the true meaning of “The Global Art of Mixing” through the blending of their very own tunes.

3. Hennessy iMix Challenge – an area where party-goers can try their hands at Hennessy’s newly developed iPad game which requires guests to slice up ingredients which are found in Hennessy V.S.O.P’s signature long drinks. The top 5 high scores screened on an LCD leaderboard will each take home a bottle of limited edition Hennessy V.S.O.P Helios.

4. Hennessy Interactive Photowall – a green screen photography area where revelers can enhance their photos digitally by choosing and inserting different visual backgrounds and shout out phrases.

D'Tandoor, Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya

A few weeks ago I went to D'Tandoor to utilize my Groupon voucher that I bought about a month before. That day I went there is the last day the voucher is valid. The deal is RM20 for Northern Indian Banquet Dinner consists of 13 dishes for 1 person in D'Tandoor, normally it will cost RM39.90 but I only paid RM15 because I used my Groupon RM5 token for discount.

D'Tandoor is a popular restaurant serving Northern Indian cuisine. It's quite different from the local Indian food because most of our Indian food here in Malaysia is based on Southern Indian.

Even though the voucher wrote dinner but actually lunch also can redeem. Started with appetizers consists of 3 dishes. Samosa, Tandoori Chicken and Vegetable Pakora (Mildly spiced vegetable dipped in gram flour and golden fried). My favourite here is Tandoori Chicken. The meat is still very juicy and smooth unlike tandoori chicken that I ate in some mamak restaurant which grilled the chicken till too dry losing all the meat juice.

After that the mains are one. OMG, all this food can feed 3 persons. These is only part of the whole 13 dishes, there are more coming. One thing I noticed about the different local Indian food here and the Northern Indian food is that the former prefer coconut milk while the latter likes to use cashew nuts butter in their curries.

In D'Tandoor, you'll see in their menu stated no MSG and no ghee. They use butter instead of ghee. The mains are beef jal Frezy, butter chicken, and masala fish. There's also a mixed vegetable in creamy butterish sauce. To eat these dishes there's plain rice, briyani rice, plain naan and garlic-butter naan.

I love the naan here. The thickness is just right. It's not too thick as if you're eating into flour, there's still crispiness intact. Even if I eat it on it's own it's already very good.

The rice here is very good too. The Indian rice is used for the Briyani and plain rice here. It's a bit longer than the Thai rice we usually had here. It has quite a different aroma and texture, which to me it's very good. I wondered if the orange colour is because of saffron.

Butter chicken is my favourite. I didn't feel jelak at all when digging into it. Goes very well with the naan and rice.

This mixed vegetables dish has diced green peas, carrots, corns, button mushrooms and pineapple. The pineapple really helps to maintain my appetite when I was too overblown by the three other meat dishes.

I don't know why but fish cooked this way is my least favourite. It tend to make the fish too soft. It is worse when it gets cold. Not for my taste bud but it's still not too bad.

Ah, the beef jal Frezy is quite good too. Not the normal beef curry or rendang found in the mamak restaurant. Those will make eating the mutton quite jelak. The beef here is cook in a way that is not too overwhelming. Nice.

It's a miracle that I was able to finished all the dishes. Lastly they served dessert, Gulab Jamoon, Milk Dumplings deep fried in oil and soaked in rose scented sugar syrup. Sigh, Indian dessert is never my kind of thing. From my calculation, there were only 12 dishes served including dessert. Where's the 13th? Or I miscalculate? Oh, I think it's because I get two pieces of Vegetable Pakora. That will make it 13.

Oh well, never mind, I won't have room to fit another dish if there's one. If you like to try many of it's dishes. Such a nice meal and I only paid RM15 for it. These group buying sites should have opened earlier, we are like 10 years late as compared to Taiwan.

Best Way To Get Internet When Visiting Hong Kong

So, you're going to Hong Kong. You own a smartphone, and is bringing your laptop with you just because you want to stay connected to the Internet. If this is your first time to Hong Kong, then you'll be in for a surprise. Unlike the cafes and restaurants in Malaysia, the cafes and restaurants in Hong Kong doesn't encourage their customer to sit there for too long while using their WiFi. So, they don't provide free WiFi.

You'll be able to access WiFi from PCCW hotspot, available in most area especially in McD's or Starbucks. The downside of this is, it only last 24hours and you won't be sitting in a Starbucks or McD's too often right? The prize you pay for their drinks is not exactly cheap also. When you're back in your hotel room, fat chance that you'll be able to find a PCCW hotspot and the Internet from the hotel is damn expensive.

When I went to Hong Kong back in March, I happened to be reviewing the Nokia E7 which I now use. Before, I fly to Hong Kong, I've researched the prepaid SIM card available there. After, much searching, I found the one that most suitable for me. It's '3' International Roaming Rechargeable SIM Card (they called it rechargeable instead of prepaid).

Why is this prepaid or rechargeable SIM card the best for me?

First, it doesn't cost much to buy. HK$98 – With extra $52 voice stored-value and totally $55 worth FREE. The $55 FREE is actually Free 20mins voice call, 10 SMSes and 10 MMS. Which means, most of the stored-value can be used for wireless data alone.

It gives me wireless data access with HKD$2/MB with Daily Max Cap HK$28. This basically means you get unlimited data for HK$28 per day. I used my Nokia E7 as a modem for my laptop when I was back in my hotel room to write a blog post, stream YouTube, Facebooking and Tweeting without any hindrance and the value in the prepaid card still available. The 3G connection is very fast too, beats any local provider here in Malaysia.

Using my Nokia E7 as a modem.

There are a few new rechargeable SIM package added too. There's 3G Rechargeable SIM Card for iPad and HSDPA Broadband Access Rechargeable SIM card, this one if if you have a wireless broadband modem or your phone able to support this. If you are using iPhone then you might need to learn how to cut the SIM card into MicroSIM card.

You can get any of these rechargeable SIM cards from OK Circle or 7-11 outlets, which is literally everywhere in Hong Kong. But you might have to search a few outlets for '3' International Roaming Rechargeable SIM Card because stock is quite limited for each outlet. Oh, please don't mistaken the 3G Super Value Monthly Fee Rechargeable SIM Card when you buying, why I purposely chose the former instead, is because once activated HKD$60 will be deducted from the stored value for voice call plan on the latter. Just remember International Roaming, and you'll be save on buying the right SIM card.

The stored value should be able to last you for two days on data, voice, and SMSes due the FREE HKD$55 bonus on voice, SMSes and MMSes. If you stay longer than 2 days, just buy the top up voucher from any authorised '3' agent. The easiest is buy it from convenient stores like OK Circle and 7-11. It's EVERYWHERE!

Hope this little tips of mine will help those of you that like to stay connected when visiting Hong Kong without costing a bomb from data roaming or using the Internet from hotel.

7aste Queenstown, Ecoba, Damansara Perdana

Many of you that is in my Facebook and follows me on Twitter will know that I update a lot on 7aste Queenstown event. Finally, last Friday is the final leg for 7aste Queenstown which happened in Ecoba, Damansara Perdana. The two previous leg was done in Johor Bahru and Penang.

Arriving early has it's advantage of getting a nice spot.

Got the VIP access. I can invite my friends to come with me and there's a table reserved for invited bloggers.

I should have waited for the finger foods to be served before I order this diluted carbonara. Sigh. Wasted my RM18.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

Masquerade mask. I gave it to Wilee not long after this picture has been taken.

Wilee dressed like an OL lol.

MC of the night came out and this mark the party's going to start.

This is BenDan. Why in the world will someone called herself 笨蛋? :P Just kiddinglah.

A failed camwhore (I accidentally zoomed) with Jiayeen that turned out to be a nice face shot.

Met a few new faces to 7aste. Like Jolyn here.

Can't resist to take a picture like this.

Theme of this 7aste is Queenstown, New Zealand. Hakka Dance is of course one of the performance.

I then went to "Coronet Peak" for a game of skiing.

All dressed up and ready to ski.

Well, the skiing is actually skiing on Wii. The 7 fastest player will win some great prizes. The top will win iPad2. There's also prizes like Beats Headphone, Nintendo DS, and PSP.

Bumped into Kate after I've done with my skiing. I made it to the 7th place but later got kicked out by players with better time.

Jazzed up the night with some jazz performance.

Bloggers will be bloggers. Clevermunkey is stil sober here, I think. :p

That girl in green is very camera sensitive.

Brought along my cousin Joyce and her friend.

With my friend Elvin. I think I already drank 4 or 5 bottles of Carlsberg at this stage. Look at my face.

Taking picture of Jackie taking BenDan.

Her name is Iris. Hope I spelled it correctly.

Guess who's this?

Now I know what's the mask is for.

Bumped into Nicole that I didn't meet for quite sometime. She and Casey were queuing up to play the skiing game. They got a very bad experience in the tent when there's some bitch smoking inside and the cigarette bud hit Nicole's feet. Sigh, some people are just so selfish.

Late in the event, some of the usual suspects were finally appearing.

Like Isabella here.

And, of course, Esther.

Also Helenness, my favourite person when it comes to Hennessy Artistry events.

It was fun meeting up with the bloggers there even though I didn't win anything. Can't wait for the next 7aste event. Which city we'll be going next?

Funny Blackie

Not in the mood to write a long post. So, post up something funny that happened during Chinese New Year a few months ago. Even though nowadays there are not many people playing fire crackers during Chinese New Year but there will still be a few of your neighbours that will burn some during this once in a year celebration.

My pet dog, Blackie (crossbred between Labrador Retriever and ??) was outside the house when suddenly loud bang from the sounds of firecrackers started and continue for quite long. As you know, dog has very sensitive hearing, so a loud bang is like a pistol fired next to our ear.

Since, we locked the door, Blackie try to get our attention to let him in and get away from the loud sound, he stands on his two feet and show his face on the windows.

When we show no move of letting him into the house. He did this.

Hahaha. We found his reaction so funny. Poor Blackie.
