It's been a while now that I haven't write a movie review. Yesterday I watched X-Men: First Class when it officially premiere in Malaysia's cinemas. Just couldn't hold myself to wait any longer after reading such rave review from Eyeris or should I say after reading his not a review post on X-Men: First Class.
Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) is quite funny. Eric Lenhsherr aka Magneto is cool but quite a sad character. So, there's this group of mutant villains led by Sebastion Shaw which is portrayed very good by the ever cool Kevin Bacon. Although there are no Storm and Night Stalker here but two of the villains working for Shaw has the power similar to Storm (Riptide) and Night Stalker (Azazel). Their parents? The partner in crime with Shaw is non other than Emma Frost (January Jones).
Charles Xavier worked with his friend Eric with the help of the CIA covert operation unit starts to recruit mutants out there. Alex Summers (Havoc), Angel (I prefer if it's renamed Fairy), Banshee, and Darwin joined as new recruits. While Henry McCoy (Beast) and Raven (Mystique) were already with the CIA and Charles.
Not gonna spoiled the plot here for you all. This X-Men movie is by far the best and I think there will be a sequel. Of course, the original X-Men yellow uniform is still the best. I came out from the cinema craving for more X-Men movie of this kind. Hopefully there will really be sequel. Well done Matthew Vaughn.
Deducted 0.5 because I don't like what they did with Angel.
