Blog of the Week: Fireangelism.com

It's been a long time I've never write any Blog of the Week post. Been busy to Singapore, then got so much food post to write and lately about the Nuffnang Pajama Party. So, now that most of it has settle down, eventhough I still haven't really finish my post about my Singapore trip. Will leave it for later post.

Today I present you Blog of the Week 3, that is Fire Angel in short FA. How I come to know FA's blog, well if you follow my Blog of the Week 2, you 'll know that from KY's blog roll there is a link to FA's blog. After, I have read all the posts in kyspeaks.com, I've got nothing more to read, so I checked out the I Stalk These list there. I mouse over on the link FA and see the URL is http://fireangelism.com/. I think to myself, hm.. interesting name. So, I click on it and see a hot babe.

Of course, I am more interested to know more of what this pretty hot angel writes. After reading a few post, I know now why it's Fire Angel not Sweet Angel or Pretty Angel. If you want to learn Advanced Ranting 102, here's the blog to start. No one can use the word fuck or cock as effective as FA. She can totally create new words using the word fuck or cock alone. So, it's pretty interesting to read about her ranting post. She especially like to post rant on Monday.

From her blog too, you'll know she likes to drink alcoholic drinks. She even put the title for her ads as $$ For the Booze but due to her laziness of fixing the bugs in her own blog, the ads never load properly and after you submit a comment you'll be taken to a error page. Anyone nice enough to fix it for her? You might be able to get a date with her.

Apart from the FA ways of ranting that I like about her posts are the sarcastical way she wrote about current affairs that's on the newspaper. I only got to know about the Dr. Chua Soi Lek's sex video after reading her post about it (I was in Singapore so didn't get to read any news from Malaysia). The lastest current affair is about the indelible ink.

Sometimes she can be very sentimental and blog about relationship, friendship, The Ship, companionship and etc. After that you'll be able to get many advises from her readers about the topic. Sometimes she'll post personal question like where to get a braces done? Ask about her car. Also she sometime likes to do some experiment.

As much as I like to visit her blog (she's full or surprises), I have a fear to do so too. Why? Well, I won't want to see my car registration number as the title of her post for one thing. If my car registration number is the title of the post, it can only mean one thing, I'm the cockfag that cut into her line without signaling and made her have to do an emergency brake. There's two cockfags already, here and here. It's funny the way she blasted those bad drivers. By the way, what's a cockfag? I know it's not a compliment.

Enough said, she's very famous already so I don't have to write too much about her. Lot's of people know her already. Here's another picture of her, so hot, one picture where got enough.

Blog of the Week: kyspeaks.com

Ok, it's been almost a week that I didn't have any post. Two reason, one is because the Blog of the Week Contest is running and two is that I don't quite have Internet access and been thinking of what to blog in the coming CNY, which my holiday will start on the 6th Feb and end on the 16th Feb.

Back to this week's Blog of the Week. Yes, you see the title. This week Blog of the Week selection is non other than kyspeaks.com. As, those of you who followed my Blog of the Week Launching Contest, we have got 3 person that got it right and the first two that answered correctly will get to claim the prize. The rules says Anonymous will not be eligible, so the winners are amb3rite and crazylobster. Congratulation to both of you.

Now, I don't think I have to do much introduction about kyspeaks.com. I'll do a how I get to know kyspeaks.com rather than who is KY.

Two years ago, I was working as a sales executive, and as in sales travelling is a must. Then one fine day I got to go to a place to meet up a customer in a place that I'm not very familiar with. So, as what I usually do with unfamiliar road or places, I google it. I always add in map + location in my search. In the result, there's a website that got a map for that area that I'll be going to, so I clicked it and to my pleasant surprise, this site is something like a food review site. Yes, I've found kyspeaks.com.

After reading a few post and I got hooked. As I am a food lover myself, the urge to know where to get some good food is strong. I've read from the latest to the archived. When I am having trouble of thinking where to go for dinner or lunch, kyspeaks is a good stop for me.

What do I like about this food blog?

1. It's categorized by food type, state, and down to a typical area. For example, you can look for food from Sea Park or PJ Old Town.

2. The KY style map. Reading about good food but don't know how to go to the place is like saying to a girl you like, I bought a diamond ring for you but you'll have to find the way to it yourself. With a map provided, I can find the food reviewed with ease without me having to google it again.

3. The no-nonsense collate style photos that let you see about 4 dishes in one picture rather than 1 picture of each dish will save the loading time as you anticipating how is the food look like.

After a few months of reading the post in kyspeaks.com, I've also decided to start my own blog so born the now defunct simonseow.com. I failed as a food blogger because I don't have a camera to take the picture of the food. Who will read a food blog without any pictures? That's why Simon Says start without any food post but soon it may have some food post because I can now borrow my cousin's 3.2 megapixel digital camera.

By the way, I just found out from kyspeaks.com that kyspeaks.com turned 3 year old on the 1st of Febuary 2008. So, this post is posted just at the right timing LOL. Here, I wish Happy Birthday to kyspeaks.com and may you continue to blog about good food for a glutton like me. So, let me present to you Simon Says Week 2 Y08 Blog of the Week; ***drum roll****

Blog of the Week: ling239

Ok, ling239 since you asked for it. You gave me an idea to start a weekly post to write about flogs or blogs that are in my blog roll. Since you're the one that help me with this idea, you get the first to be featured in my Blog of the Week post.

Let me explain how this works:

1. Every week I'll pick a flog or blog from my blog roll and write what I think about it.

2. There won't be negative comment from me on any flog or blog that make it to Blog of the Week to avoid getting blasted from the blogger. Especially don't want to get blasted by FA. I promised, you won't like it to get blasted by her.

3. Your traffic won't shot up because my blog has less than ten (pun not intended) hit per day. Email Kenny Sia and ask him to pug you if you want higher traffic to your blog.


Ok. Enough of explaining. Please let us welcome the first Blog of the Week in Simon Says. *drums roll* ling239's Coffee Garden.

First, we start with how did I get to know ling239's flog. If memory serves me right, I think it's a link from a post I read from either Boolicious or Jackson. Sorry, old already memory tak guna dah.

The first impression that I have about ling239's flog is nice and simple. Nothing too wordy or overloaded with pictures. Just simple and exact description about the food. There are two specialty about her blog that I like. It comes in NICAM (dual language). Yupe, ling239 writes her flog in Mandarin and English. For me that can read both language is an extra bonus because I can get some exact Chinese food name. Sometime using English to describe Chinese food is just not what it meant to be.

The other thing I like about her flog is, the emo icon that she uses and the way she uses it. She put the right emo icon at the right phrase which makes you feel the way she felt when she's writing it. Example, when she got a question , when she likes the food or when she's annoyed . She got a lot more of these emo in her blog.

One more plus point about ling239 flog is that it is updated almost everyday. Each day I go in, I can find a new food post, this is very good for glutton reader like me ;). I think that says it all for the first Blog of the Week in Simon Says.
