Devil

Another movie that is story written and produced by M. Night Shyamalan. Not that dissapointing as his previous attempts. Directed by John Erick Dowdle (Quarantine). I felt that the style is a bit like an Alfred Hitchcock movie.

Five strangers trapped in a lift and one of them is the devil in disguise. Basically you won't be able to see the devil while he did his attacks on the other four people because the light will be off. Those of you that think that this is a horror flick might be disappointed because to me, this is more like a psychological thriller.

So basically the whole movie revolves around the 5 people in the lift and the people outside that is trying to try to rescue them before all of them are dead. This is movie where you'll be working your mind out to guess whom of those five is the devil. Not bad for a mental exercise.

Forgoing the use of big stars and going back to the basic might be a good step for Shyamalan. Though this is not his best ever written or produced movie yet, it is a good start for fans of his movie to start catching up.

Rating: 7/10

Watch the official trailer of Devil and see whether you want to catch it in the cinema. It's already showing in Malaysian cinemas.

I planned to watch this, but I have a concern. Basically the main spot is in the lift, I bet it'll be more dark than light, how to see clearly?

Jessy: Not really, you'll be busy trying to guess who is the Devil.

Hayley: Actually, you won't be able to see a thing while the Devil is killing lol.
