Chevrolet Colorado Launch

When it comes to pick-up truck, one won't go wrong with a Chevrolet. They are one of the first few car manufacturer that come out with a pick up car back in 1918. Their latest addition to their pick up truck family is the Chevrolet Colorado.

Built from scratch in their South East Asian plant in Thailand. Even the engine was built there. Colorado was designed to be run to tropical terrains in South East Asia.

There are three variants to choose from. The 2.5 LT MT Turbo Diesel 4x4, 2.8 LT MT Turbo Diesel 4x4 and 2.8 LTZ AT Turbo Diesel 4x4. All 3 running on the proven Duramax engine. The full specs can be found here.

Colorado really look quite stylish and doesn't have the old pick-up truck look. A picture is worth a thousand words, so just look at it.

At a starting price of RM 88,888. I think it's quite a good value for a 2.5liter capacity engine car. If you often goes into jungle or off-track road trip, then Chevrolet Colorado is one of your choice.

Peugeot 207 Launch

The evening before I came to Singapore I went to the launching of Peugeot 207 in Putrajaya International Convention Center. Just when I reached the venue, I saw our former prime minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed is giving a speech on the stage.

After his speech then it's time to start the launching of Peugeot's latest model the Peugeot 207. It's a 1.6 liter engine and the on the road price estimated at RM 72,888.00 pending approval. The prices is so affordable as compared to other foreign car of the same specs I think is because this is a CKD car built in Naza's car plant.

Even thought it's a 1.6 liter engine but it will be able to churn out 147NM of torque and 110 bhp at 4,000 RPM. Transmission is Adaptive Automatic Transmission with Triptonic and Sport Mode. It claims that fuel consumption is about 6.1 liters per 100 KM.

I like the fair amount of leg room in the front. This is one of the criteria I check when I buy a car. Not enough leg room for my long legs, then the car will be crossed out from my list. It also features automatic climate control air-con which will help make the air in the car cleaner and less airborne contaminants.

Race tuned Peugeot 207 for the track.

I think at that price to be able to own a Peugeot is quite an affordable price for most people. Sign up online and make an appointment at your nearest Peugeot dealer and have a test drive now. Pictures and videos can't tell you whether a car is suitable for you unless you go and have a feel of it. ;)
