Blogging Live with Adeline & Hanis

Hello folks. Currently Adeline and Hanis is standing next to me in Modesto Rain. Yes, I'm blogging live in Nuffnang Wild Live Blogging Party.

As the title says it. Thanks Nigel for this pic.

Everyone is a party animal here.

Cherie the Mouse, Kenny the Pooh, Adeline the Zebra and moi (supposed to be a horse but I forgot to put up my horse board)

We also have Firdauz the Gorilla, Timothy the Lion, and yes me as the Horse. It's a horse, not a donkey ok.

This is me blogging live in the Wild Live Blogging Party.

Ok. Not to be long winded here because there's a game going on here and Liang is giving away good prizes. So, off I go to participate in the game. Come here you all.

Got to go, Tarzan Liang is waiting for me.

Ok, that's all folks. Robb is waiting behind me to live blog too.

Bedok North 85 Hawker Center

Being a blogger has given me opportunity to get to know a lot of friends and especially as a Nuffnanger. I got to know bloggers not only in Malaysia but also a few bloggers from across the Causeway. So, whenever I come to Singapore, I'll try to meet up with them if possible. I got into contact with Holly, and she was so nice to bring me to go to Bedok North 85 Hawker Center to eat bak chor mee.

Bedok North 85

Hawker center like this is very common in Singapore.

Nice and pretty Holly Jean.

Bak chor mee

I'm not sure whether or not vinegar is a default for bak chor mee but I don't find it in this one. Still the mee is so 'song hau' and a bit of spiciness from the chili oil is so appetizing. Well, for me, I still prefer the bak chor mee in Hong Lim.

Pork balls and minced pork soup that come with my dried bak chor mee.

This is one of the most delicious pork balls and minced pork soup I've ever tasted. You can't find the stence that you find in some other pork soup. The minced pork is not over marinated like some. Nice.

Or Chien (Oyster Omelet)

The Or Chien is not too bad but I still prefer the one in Malacca which I've never eaten since like ages ago.

Rating: 3/5

Holly was nice enough to dropped me back to my brother-in-law's place after the dinner. My BIL's place is apparently on the way to her home. Thanks Holly. ;)

Camwhoring in taxi wtf.

Ma Maison, Bugis Junction

A few hours after savouring MOS burger, it's time for dinner. Since I missed Ma Maison the first night, and I happened to be in Bugis Junction. So, yes Nipples Joe got it right, my dinner for that night is at Ma Maison.

Japanese Western fusion.

Open kitchen concept.

Nice European ambience.

I didn't made any reservation, and the queue is quite long. Lucky for me that I was alone, so I was seated at the bar like table but instead of the bar tender, I was facing the chefs. There's a glass covering the kitchen of course, if not the strong flame will have burned me. LOL.

I ordered beef tataki salada as the starter.

Just the right colour for a beef tataki.

Using the Wafu (Japanese stlye) salad sauce goes very well with the beef tataki. It won't makes you feel weird eating the almost 90% raw beef slices and of course the beef slices have to be very fresh. Not a bad starter.

Ordered a clam chowder soup. I'm a soup person.

Taste is not bad but can use a bit more clams though.

It's so cozy I almost wanted to sleep there.

My main, hamburg steak with egg.

This is what you must order when you come to Ma Maison. What I did is poked the egg yolk deep with my knife until it reach the center of the hamburg steak. The beef patty will then absorbed the egg yolk (My god I'm drooling while writing this). Eating the hamburg steak soaked egg yolk plus brown sauce. All I can say is that it tasted great. Although the side dishes is a bit disappointed, the potato wedges is too dry. I still give this dish two thumbs up.
