Soya Sauce Chicken Noodle at Chew Kee Eating House

I'll try to keep this post short because the Internet is not very stable at the moment :p

My sister and brother-in-law brought me to this place called Chew Kee Eating House to have a taste of their famous wanton noodle with soya sauce chicken (鼓油鸡). True enough their soya sauce chicken is very smooth and tender. The sauce is mixed in balanced too, not too overly salty but yet still able to taste the soya.

As for their full egg noodle, I don't quite like it because the alkaline water taste is too much. Although, alkaline water is used to make the noodle springy but I think it is a bit too much and it lose the balance.

You may want to order flat rice noodle (hor fun/kueh tiow/whatever) like what my sister did if you don't like the taste of too much alkaline water in your noodle. You can order rice too.

We also ordered dumpling soup as side dish. Not too bad. Tasted okay.

Chew Kee has been in business since 1962. There are two shops on the same row but my sister prefer the one in the corner shop (the original shop) run by the eldest sister. The younger brother now run another shop a few shops away. Family feud?

If you fancy soya sauce chicken, go there and have a try. Don't take my word for it, go and try the younger brother's shop too to compare which one you like more. Makansutra gave it a Die, Die, Must Try rating.

P.S. Sorry for the blur picture. I was still using my phone's camera when I was eating here.
